so I bought the samsung s5230 the other days and after all the clicking and touching I did, I’ve come to one conclusion: samsung sucks and I’ll never ever ever buy a samsung mobile phone in my life.
why ? well it has many flaws, it’s slow, it hasn’t got speed dialing… like nokia and sony ericsson, you have to go trough contacts to call someone, the sms creation and call is too complicated… with my last phone (Sony Ericsson W880i) I was writing messages and making calls without even looking at it in my car.
tried with this one, nearly got me killed.
the biggest problem: no support for lots of countries (i.e Romania, my country)
more problems: you can install anything on it! no java! it wont let you because samsung is too retarted and hungry for money to realise it will loose it’s customers if this is going to continue.
no themes!
the battery sucks !
no memory card included in the selling package !
no stylus !
so, in conclusion: a 2 year old phone (my last one) can install java without ANY trouble, quick and easy, has speed dialing and much more useful things.
this one ain’t got shit, no speed dialing, no java, no themes, it’s slow… slow moving… no memory card included…
ffs sony ericsson and nokia ARE SUPERIOR in every single way. I tought: hei.. I could give Samsung a try maybe it’s better.
yeah right…
anyone wanna buy a Samsung S5230 White ? It’s very beautiful, beauty with no brains.
android G3 to take down iPhone 3G S June 20, 2009

do you know what that is ? that’s the third phone to be release by Google.
first there was HTC Dream (G1) then there was HTC Magic (G2) and now it’s the Huawei G3.
anyone of them is better than the iPhone but nobody noticed, well this phone will be release in the Q3 of this year (2009) and it’s going to be a serious blow to the iPhone 3G S.
even though we don’t know any specifications what we do know is that it has a 3.5″ touchscreen, a better camera than the iPhone 3G S, and that it’s powered by the Google Android.
Have you seen the interface of the Google Android ? No, I didn’t think so.
I was thinking to buy a Samsung Jet (because even that it’s way better than the iPhone 3G S) but now I’ve changed my mind, I’m going to wait for the Android G3 and get that one. That’s gonna end this iPhone 3G S madness.
Not that I don’t like the iPhone, I love it, it’s a very good product, but half of it’s price is it’s advertisement and it’s agressive marketing strategy.
Let’s talk a bit about that, Apple has always had an agressive marketing strategy and I guess that why they survived, but they broke the records with the iPhone, I mean, iPhone was getting advertisements 3 months before it’s release, people actually stood in line the whole night just to be amongst the first ones who get the iPhone.
That’s pretty crazy if you ask me, you stay in line to give a shitload of money just to get phone that’s not even close of being a leader of the market in the touchscreen phones industry. For instance, in Italy an free cleareance iPhone 3G S from Vodafone costs 719 Euro. That’s just mad. Imagine that a better phone like Samsung Omnia 2 or the Sony Ericsson Idou (Satio) is half the price and twice the fun.

As you may have noticed, I decided to make a smooth transition of this blog between Romanian and English.
I will not write only in English, so if that’s cleared out of the way, I start my first English post with some news about two new handsets from Samsung. Samsung announced that will release two new handsets and by the looks of it, they are both made specially to compete with the LG KP501 Cookie. The handsets are the Samsung S230 and the Samsung S5600.
Both handsets have similar feauters with LG KP501 Cookie and the pricing is expected to be the same, so we’ll have 3 cheap touchscreen phones to play with. Hei, this is becoming a trend and I love it !
Anyway here’s the Samsung S5600

And here’s the Samsung S5230

The phones aren’t one better and one less better, there’s just a difference between them that makes them for different target groups.
The Samsung S5600 has a 2.8″ touchscreen and has 3G (videocalls) and the Samsung S5230 has a 3″ touchscreen but not 3G. So it’s up to you if you want a bigger screen or 3G. Either way they are both looking nice, but I still like the LG Cookie better.
Maybe if Samsung releases one in White I’ll think about buying one. More news about these handsets when they come out, I’ll go have a quick test them and the nearest Orange Shop and keep you in touch.
In the meantime, you could check the full specifications if you like, both for Samsung S5230 and for the Samsung S5600. By the way, the codename for these little to babies is “Star” for Samsung S5230 and “Preston” for the Samsung S5600.
